TULUM, MEXICO

November 10–13, 2025

Build the portfolio that books you bucket-list elopements without waiting for someone to take a chance on you.

But right now, your portfolio doesn’t show any of that, and the inquiries coming in don’t reflect that vision. They’re short, low-budget, and totally misaligned with the work you’re craving because couples don’t even know it’s an option.

➔ You’re getting asked for two-hour sessions when you know how to create two-day experiences.

➔ You want to photograph real love stories that unfold with movement, meaning, and moments worth remembering.

➔ You want couples to say, “That gallery in Tulum? That’s what we want. Can you help us do it too?”

And the way to get that? Show them what’s possible by going out and creating it first.

You want to capture slow, soul-stirring elopement days

Maybe that looks like barefoot in a private jungle villa, cannonballing into a cenote after saying their vows, and ending it on a sailboat at golden hour. The kind of full-day adventures where love and location meet in the most unforgettable way.

Hey, I’m Sarah

When I started, I didn’t have a destination elopement portfolio, so I created it. I booked a styled shoot in Utah where we did horseback riding and ATVs. I built the kind of gallery I knew would speak for itself, and it did. From that one shoot, I’ve booked multiple adventure-loving couples who wanted me to recreate those same experiences for them.

And now I’m bringing that same opportunity to you.

This isn’t just a content-building trip. It’s a portfolio-building, confidence-boosting, connection-creating experience designed to help you finally show clients what’s possible and back up your claims with proof.

I’ve lived all over the U.S., traveled to 20+ countries, and photographed couples in locations I used to dream about. Styled shoots gave me the proof. Retreats gave me the relationships. Now I’m combining both so you can skip the guesswork and start showing up like the high-end, destination photographer you know you can be.

I’m hosting styled shoots for you because they changed everything for me.

Stop wondering if you’re “ready” and start showing couples why you’re the one.

And because I've done this exact thing for my own business, I know what works — and I won't let you leave with anything less.  This is your permission slip to go all in on the work you really want to be doing.

This retreat could be yours.

Pitch high-ticket, multi-day elopements with confidence.

Show dream clients galleries that make them say, “We want this.”

Fill your portfolio with location-specific, activity-rich stories that sell your highest packages.

Every photographer has that one turning point — the moment they finally see themselves doing the thing they always dreamed of.

What’s Included in the Tulum Retreat

November 10–13, 2025 | Tulum, Mexico

4 Multi-Day Adventure Elopement Shoots

4 Couples. 4 Stories. 4 Proof-Driven Galleries.

These aren’t quick content grabs or posed snippets. Each shoot is structured like a full elopement complete with first looks, slow mornings, adventure-based activities, golden hour portraits, and day-after storytelling moments. You’ll photograph four real couples across four immersive, intentionally paced shoots that reflect the kind of work you want to book. Every gallery becomes a visual pitch for multi-day elopements in Tulum, so when couples ask “Can you do this for us?” your answer is backed with proof.

3 Nights / 4 Days of Boutique Lodging in Tulum

We’ll be staying in a stylish, air-conditioned boutique property in the heart of Tulum. Close to taco trucks, coffee shops, and local markets, but tucked far enough from the party scene to actually sleep. This is your home base for rest, reset, and late-night hangs with other creatives.

  • Shared rooms (2 attendees per room)
  • Comfortable living space + outdoor lounge areas
  • Near Tulum’s best food and culture spots
  • Wi-Fi, A/C, and modern amenities included

Want to stay longer? I’ll help you coordinate!

Sunset Sailing Excursion – Elopement on the Water

Two of our couples will join us for a private sunset sail, where you’ll document golden hour portraits, oceanfront vows, and just-married vibes out on the water. This shoot feels luxurious, cinematic, and completely aligned with what destination elopement clients dream about. One in elopement attire and one in casual attire to give that “day two” feel.

Cenote Photoshoot

Tulum is famous for its cenotes — limestone sinkholes filled with crystal clear water. You’ll photograph two couples here, surrounded by lush jungle greens and soft beams of natural light cutting through the mist. It’s the kind of surreal, adventure-driven content that makes people stop scrolling. One in elopement attire and one in casual attire to give that “day two” feel.

Branding Photos of You

While you’re directing, shooting, and making the magic happen, I’ll be photographing you. You’ll leave with behind-the-scenes content that shows off your energy, your process, and your vibe. Perfect for updating your about page, Instagram, or that pitch deck you’ve been meaning to make.

Diversity + Inclusion

We’re intentional about casting diverse, real couples, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ representation because your future clients need to see themselves reflected in your work.

Group Chat + Community Access

From the moment you sign up, you’ll be in a private group with fellow attendees to coordinate flights, carpool plans, and ask all your questions. By the time we arrive, it already feels like friends meeting up, not strangers in the same industry.

You’ll get my local guide:

Welcome Dinner – Opening Night

We kick off night one with a laid-back dinner where you’ll meet the crew, settle in, and toast to the start of something really, really good.

➔  A slow, sun-soaked morning in a design-forward boutique hotel, where your couple gets ready surrounded by jungle greens and soft light streaming through arched windows.

➔ An intimate cenote ceremony, with echoing vows and crystal-clear water reflecting the jungle canopy above.

➔  A golden-hour sail along the Caribbean coast, champagne in hand and wind in their hair, as you capture pure joy against the turquoise horizon.

➔ A day-after shoot wandering through downtown Tulum with colorful walls, street tacos, barefoot laughter, and moments that feel more like a travel editorial than a wedding gallery.

➔ Floating in a cenote lit by sunbeams and surrounded by jungle stillness, capturing pure magic through your lens.

This is the kind of content that books your next full-day elopement before you even open your camera bag. The kind of work that shifts your portfolio from “dreaming about it” to “doing it.”

Picture this

A few weeks later, you open your inbox, and there it is—an inquiry for a multi-day elopement in Mexico!

You land in Mexico, the air is thick with sunshine and excitement, and you realize this is no longer a dream gig. You’re here, doing the thing. And you didn’t have to discount yourself or wait around hoping someone would take a chance on you.

You’re waist-deep in a cenote, light filtering through the jungle canopy, photographing a real couple as they laugh through their vows and splash each other mid-kiss. Later that night, you're barefoot in downtown Tulum, taco in one hand, camera in the other, replaying the magic you just captured with a group of new creative friends who actually get it

You feel the difference right away. You’re not scrambling to prove yourself. You’re not price-matching. You’re confidently pitching your full-day packages because now you have proof.

FAQs

I’ve had those experiences too which is why I’m intentionally making these different! Each shoot is designed to give you galleries you can actually use to pitch full-day, high-ticket elopements and start booking the kind of work you want. And yep, you’ll walk away with new friends, too.

You will. We’ve got a Facebook group and a WhatsApp chat, plus a welcome dinner to break the ice. Most people come solo and leave with new friends, second shooter connections, and a group chat that never dies.

Leave No Trace is foundational to everything I do. Respect for the land isn’t optional, it’s part of our job. I’ve done the research, pulled permits where needed, and planned every shoot with local impact (or lack thereof) in mind.

Tulum is that rare mix of laid-back and luxe. Jungle meets ocean. Street tacos and boutique hotels. It’s a place where your couples can cliff-jump in the morning and sip cocktails in the evening. This retreat isn’t just about photos — it’s about showing couples what’s possible. And Tulum is full of possibility.

Perfect. That’s the point! These styled shoots are built to give you the kind of content and confidence that books real elopements. I’ll help you shoot like it’s a real day—because that’s what your future clients need to see.

Yep. These aren’t mini-sessions in disguise. You’ll get start-to-finish coverage of each shoot, including casual moments (hello, day-after session upsell) and storytelling details so you can pitch full-day or multi-day experiences with ease.

What’s included?
3 fully styled multi-day elopement shoots with real couples
A private sunset sailing excursion (with a couple!)
A cenote adventure session
3 nights, 4 days of luxury lodging in downtown Tulum
A welcome dinner + local guide recs
Behind-the-scenes branding photos of you in action
Facebook group + WhatsApp chat for community + coordination
An informational guide to help you prep, plan, and pitch future couples in Tulum
New friends, inspiration, and confidence (cheesy but true)

This is for you if…
You want to confidently book full-day elopements in tropical destinations
You need proof you can create and guide luxury-level experiences
You’re craving portfolio content that actually books you high-ticket clients
You’re ready to make a real move not just talk about “someday”

Not for you if…
✘ You’re looking for quick Instagram content without the strategy
✘ You don’t care about cultural immersion or storytelling
✘ You’re not ready to invest in the kind of work that changes everything

If your friend’s a photographer and also wants to attend the retreat, they’ll need their own ticket. If you’re traveling with a partner or just want your own space, let me know and we can talk about private lodging upgrades or booking a non-lodging ticket and staying offsite.

All sales are final. However, you’re welcome to sell your ticket to another attendee if you can’t make it. I’ll help you navigate that process if needed.

You’ll get a confirmation email, your contract, and access to our attendee group. You’ll also receive a full informational guide about the retreat, location, what to pack, how to prep, and everything else you’ll need to know so you’re not scrambling the week before. We’ll stay in touch every step of the way!

You'll fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN) or Tulum Airport (TQO). I’ll help you navigate both options if needed.

Yes, but don’t stress! I’ll connect you with other attendees via our private Facebook group so you can split a rental or rideshare. Or reach out if you’d prefer help arranging your own!

Meals aren’t included, but that’s half the fun. Tulum’s food scene is *chef’s kiss*, and I’ll give you a list of my favorite tacos, cocktails, coffee shops, and local gems so you eat very well during your stay. Plus, the accommodation has a kitchen if you prefer to cook your own food!

➔ The script I use to guide couples toward full-day or multi-day bookings (that works every time)

➔ Why it’s not about “upselling”--it’s about helping your couples have the best experience possible

➔ How to plant the seed early, so by the time you bring it up, they’re already picturing it (and excited)

➔ Mindset reframes for creatives who hate talking money but want to charge like the pro they are
